Demetra or Dyson?

  • Dyson is awful! Like most, Demetra has grown on me over time. He makes the broadcast as Dyson makes you want to turn the sound off. Really bad!

    Anyone but Demetra. Example: The first clemPson game this year. He was over hyping EVERYTHING. A foul tip he would make it sound like it was almost a homerun. He made me 10 times more nervous than was probably needed. Over and over and over there were little things that he go way to excited about. I miss Mike Morgan badly! Although I must say when Demetra came we won two titles so I'll take Demetra any day over Morgan if he brings us good luck. Hope it carries over to basketball!

    Over the radio you have to get overly excited to keep people engaged...that's how it is for me, anyway.

  • I in the Minority I don't Like Demetra I really Like Dyson Because he is a true Gamecock, I don't like Andy because he messes up a Lot, Like the other night he called English, Costen. I know they are both Freshman but that kind of thing just drives me crazy

    One is a color guy and on is a play by play guy. Not sure why we have to pick one or the other.

    Demetra has grown on me, but I still think Steve Stewart was the man in baseball broadcasters!!

    dyson is fun to listen to because he still talks like he is playing. Given how little he has actually done this in his life, he's pretty good. He's not a polished color guy by any means and that is probably why I like him.

    I didn't find his hitterish comments obnoxious. I agree somewhat on the bats (went a bit too far with the changes) and I like hearin stories about those great teams on which he played. All in all, he's good to listen to because he has a light hearted personality and he's a damn fine Gamecock.
