When I worked for the coaching staff back in the mid 90s under Brad Scott, Lawing was my favorite guy on the staff and the second place finisher wasn't close. He's a good guy and a good coach. That being said, whenever there is a weakness on a staff, it will be exploited by others, and if that weakness can be fixed, then I'm all for it. If Lawing had reached his limit here, and it appears as though he had, then it was time to go. If he was not pulling his weight in recruiting, then it was time to go. It's clear to me that on-field coaching is not a weakness of this staff, but closers on the recruiting trail seems to be, so hopefully this will be an opening where we can improve in that area.
I appreciate what he did, but he's going to our divisional rival. I hope he forgets how to coach.
He is now the enemy. Hope he fails miserably at FL.
I hope he gets underlying personal issues going in the right direction.
As far as coaching I hope he sucks as long as he coaches anyone we play.
Well I was speaking personally, not professionally. While at Florida, I don't have any interest in him whatsoever.
good post MCR
