I don't see it. They can go hire anyone in the country. I love Ward, but I think they go with more proven experience.

Already said. Great recruiter, recruits Georgia very well which is a huge state for Bama, great up and coming coach who has worked under bud foster and ellis johnson, and a former Bama player. Explain how these reasons aren't rational.

They are rational, to that extent, but I think more telling is that Whammy does not employ a 3-4. Our scheme is pretty much a straight 4-3, the Spur now is not nearly as much a safety as he is an LB.

Just stop. This is some thought that came, you typed it before giving it any real practical thought and now trying to backfill it.
If the guy hadn't played at Bama this thread would've never happened.
If Ward gets hired there when he doesn't run near the same system and Saban decides he wants to now have to teach a coordinator his own system on the fly, it'll be a complete stunner.
But hey, let's start some anxiety now!! Yeah I love it!!
