Looks like the biggest thing is getting him out of state, I'm positive he will like SC and love the coaching staff/enviorment but home is home..

I dont think Im alone when I say I think he will end up going to Kentucky...just my thought and opinion.

There will certainly be some "home team effect" however, anyone who wants to be a winner and be a part of something with a future would have to think twice about going to Kentucky and rolling the dice that that staff can make it 4 years. Mark Stoopes has never been a head coach and that will make it even more difficult. The only way I can see him going to Kentucky is if he is selfish and or afraid of competition. He would certainly have a shorter path to being "the man" at UK than USC as there is no competition there while we already have multiple options on campus.

Would you have thought the same thing about a South Carolina kid choosing SCar about 8 years ago when we were down in the dumps instead of going to Tennessee or somewhere else out or state? Nothing wrong with a kid choosing to stay home and try to lift his program. Kentucky plays the same schedule we do basically I'm sure he would see plenty of on field competition.
Hope he chooses us but he's not selfish if he goes to Kentucky.

But, we did have a proven HoF coach and had a couple of consecutive non-losing seasons in a row. Our biggrest competition for Marcus, Auburn, was not signficantly better than we were, while we are significantly better than Kensucky which is a hoops school.
