Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
I am usually not one to cite inside sources because, frankly, I have almost none, but I do have a very solid, very inside source in Crappel Hole and was told last Monday evening (11/26) that the chair of the UNC Intercollegiate Activities Committee (BOT) and Cunningham spoke with Slive that day. The source did not indicate who placed the call. The source also indicated that the discussions at that time involved the thought process of UNC and UVA but that there were major concerns about the University System Board of Regents and NCST as well as the long time association with Duke as it relates to basketball.
When I tell you this I tell you the sum total of what I know.

You can't see! I can't see! All that matters is can the f*&%ing horse see! That's a raid!
Looks to me like the EZZ's exit fee may not hold up. Perhaps, the EZZ lawyers "pulled a Clemsux" and left some loopholes in their contract's legal D for the opposition to just run through with reckless abandon.
Also, looks like the Viles are not getting the warm responses from prospective candidates in their coaching search, just like last time.
I think you are oversimplifying the media market angle.
Yes that primary driver of much all this expansion.
And yes many folks overlook this (i.e. the perpetual "why not Clemson, FSU, and Gt to the SEC?" nonsense)
But Duke/UNC have potential to (significantly?) trump the value of adding a school in Virginia
Its not just about number of tv households in conference member-states
For example, I think TWC in Columbia pays like 0.10 cents a month for PAC12 channel
When SEC Network goes live; they will be able to charge more nationally by having Duke/UNC asset than they could with VaTech and NC State
Again I am presuming alot here. But when it comes to college brands, Duke/UNC are at the top of the heap.
Add in BBall titles, academic prestige, and locking down NC -- dont forget SEC doesnt want B1G getting too strong down South
They're worth it.
We'd have to put up with UNC's snobbiness.
But it'd be nice to have a future decade of football and baseball smackdowns over the Heels
I am laughing out loud that Q. Davis is on the front of this story. This guy will never go away from this board.
