I was just watching the Clemson game and it struck me that Bruce Ellington could be a good/great RB. I know it will be Wilds' game with a quality backup in Miles (I think), but I wonder if we could get Ellington some RB snaps in the off week? I bet we'll see more Wildcat either way.
Not looking for a flame. Serious discussion only. I pray for Marcus to be healthy.
I definitely think we'll see more wildcat with Byrd in motion coming across... not sure on RB snaps though. Personally, his fumbles concern me a bit going through the tackles. I like him taking the ball outside like he does when he lines up at QB.
Pretty sure coach said in his presser in fact I know for sure he said "maybe we need to get Bruce the ball at RB some - he can run it good up the middle too"
Bruce is basically the same size/build as his cousin in Tigerville...I don't get all the people saying he couldn't take it. LaMichael James does as well as the RB fron San Diego State. I think considering the injuries and Barnes getting healthy, Ellington should move to RB.
Bruce is plenty big enough - he's 5'9 200lbs - built like a brick house
