FWIW, I just don't see baseball being played today

I felt pretty good yesterday. Especially had the game started at 6:00pm instead of 7:00.
Looking at the movement and the line of storms on radar....just don't see any pitches for today.

yea...except the flash floods Columbia is having as we speak. So much water. No way they get it off the field in time for the first game.

Still raining here really hard. The idiots who called it last night should be fired. After the decision was made to postpone it, it never rained again. And when they delayed it the first time, if they had continued to play the game would have been finished in clear weather. It's like no one looked at the radar or even tried to think long-term.

Agree on all accounts. What amazes me is that if we don't get Game 2 into today, then tomorrow looks to be a washout and we are playing on Wednesday. Either 3 or 12 innings.
I just don't see how the NCAA or ESPN can potentially disrupt a schedule like this. You couple that and the fact we didn't get to play the last UGA game...and it really has to piss Tanner off.

Yes, same mantra as last year, WIN ANYWAY.
Weather report now saying that the rain should stop around 5:30, but radar shows a long band stretching from Alabama to Columbia...hopefully we finish things up tonight and move on.

It absolutely poured earlier but it's becoming fair now. Looking at the radar it looks like we may be able to get game 1 in if the field dries adequately. They need to move it up if the field is playable soon.

Well, my personal weather update is that it appears the main front has cleared the Cola area. I think the bigger rains will be south and east as the day progresses. Doesn't mean it won't rain anymore. Just the real heavy stuff seems to be over now. The next heavy batch is currently back in Macon/Milledgeville GA.
The main front is now a line that stretches from Florence SC -> Vidalia GA -> Dothan AL -> Pensacola FL
That line is where most of the heavy stuff will be. There will be rain east and norh of that. But it appears to be letting up fairly quickly.
I'm beginning to think Cola will be fine. As long as the field can drain properly.

Sitting in Darlington, SC and I can confirm that the front just got here. It was raining so hard a few minutes ago that I couldn't see 100 yards looking out the windown. Completely stopped right now though. Edit: still rainly lightly - didn't want anyone to call me a liar.
