I met Shaq at Shrine Bowl practice last year. Nice kid. Not as tall or big as he is listed. Could be a great player. I am concerned that our top 2 WR's are not very tall. Speedy yes, but could struggle in press man or jump ball situation. I hope we will do more play action next year as we should have as good or better RB's than anyone. Play action allows the QB to look for primary and alternate recievers, not read a coverage, and Conner can run. Can't wait!

Not sure why you are getting downvoted? My only guess is your subject line about people "worrying" about our receiving corps. I don't read every thread on the board, but I haven't seen anyone worrying about our receivers. IN fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Shaq was headed for a RS.

I agree about not putting pressure on a true freshman. But I will point out that he has one hell of an offense around him especially with a healthy Lattimore. It will be interesting to see how he performs coming in. It's not like we are desperate either.. he is going to have to pass a few on the depth chart to even see the field. He was not an early enrollee so that is playing against him as well. Like all I hope he can come in and set the Gamecock Nation on fire.. but like you I am holding to the fact he is a true freshman playing in the SEC. It would not suprise me if Kelvin Rainey has a chance to get more snaps than SHaq.. just because he will be more physically ready to play at this time. I will hold off getting all giddy over a Sunshine Pumpers post.
