i think if we get him on campus, and most importantly sees the way Elliot handles his players on and off the field, he'll at least have to think it over a while longer.

Two years ago he was the best in the country according to them. I think a down year on the line and lackluster recruiting has gotten to NoVa's head.

Not sure if this has been answered before, but why is Elliott not the recruiter for him. Or for that matter, how come coaches aren't the recruiter for their respective players?

As I understand it, coaches recruit a certain territory. If one coach covers a certain territory, it keeps recruiting traveling expenses down rather than have the coach going all over the place. However, we usually have the position coach as a secondary recruiter, so the player will hear from both.

This could be a pretty clever move for a recruit on the rise. I bet tons of schools are hustling more than usual to evaluate and offer whether he meant it or not.
