Great effort by the ladies and the men tonight...

  • Obviously when you beat Tennessee in Knoxville, you're on the right path. Nice job Dawn and team.

However, as one who has been really critical of the entire men's basketball program, I wanted to make sure I complimented them for a good game tonight. We would've won against just about anybody in the SEC tonight but we just don't hit enough shots to beat a good team like Florida on the road. I loved the way they battled, and after a hideous start, we even got after them on the boards and won a lot of hustle plays. We have to get Ellington some consistent help. Williams was OK tonight but I don't think he makes good enough decisions to handle the ball too much. Either Leonard or Richardson simply has to make some shots or we're going to lose. Harris and Cooke were pretty strong tonight but Jackson and Slawson continue to underwhelm.

We Would've Won , I like that. Is Florida the best team in the SEC? Saturday Night your going to be able to say the same thing, just replace Florida with UK.

  • Fellas, you'd be hard pressed to find another fan any more pissed off than I am about the state of our men's program. I'm not a Horn fan at all and I hope a change is made. However, you have to be able to separate that from the effort of our players. I am simply acknowledging how hard they played last night against a superior team on the road. No reason to bitch about that.

The effort has always been there. Not seen one person say this Team has laid down or does not hustle. With that said this is not a good Basketball Team right now. Still lack a identity.

Sarcasm. Nice. Florida is not the best team in the SEC but they are a very good team, ranking probably just behind Kentucky, who will probably destroy us Saturday evening. You still need to acknowledge that the players busted their tails and kept the game close against Florida's best players. Unlike several other games we've played that ended with somewhat reasonable deficits, we didn't go on a late run against the scrubs to make this close close.

They did the same against Auburn, one of the worst teams in the league, and lost.

I have never questioned this teams "Effort" or "Hustle" or anything like that. No one wants to lose and Im sure that the case with all the guys on the team. I also think our future could be bright and we have some good young players BUT....I just think that our coaching is lacking. Something is not right and we need to correct it before the team DOES lay down.
