Roger Clemens has been acquitted on all charges by a jury that decided he didn't lie to Congress when he denied using performance-enhancing drugs.

What makes you say that? The .500 record his last four years in Boston (age 30-33) ERA Around 4.00. Then he goes to Toronto at age 34 when most every pitcher on the planet is aging and wins 4 Cy Youngs, over 160 wins, 6 sub 3.00 ERAs and a 1.87 and 2.30 at 42 and 43 years old.

Bigger issue for me is that Congress has bigger things to worry about right now. Plus, they lie to us all the time and want to punish Clemens for a supposed lie to them?????? Just like with Lance Armstrong, get over it, set rules in concrete that from this point forward no leniency, and go play/ride/shoot/whatever. Quite frankly, I have met Clemens a couple of times & he is not the most personable or friendly athlete, but this entire legal episode was a waste of time and taxpayer money IMHO.

It's common knowledge that people lie and its stupid to waste hundred of thousands of dollars to prove something that is not affecting the lives of the people paying the bill.

Exactly. Not to mention arm problems in Boston and they disappeared with future teams. Imagine that. Your rotator cuff gets stronger after the age of 33.
As far as congress getting involved. If you lie to congress no matter what the reason you deserve to be prosecuted, otherwise you lose the power. If you lie you get prosecuted, period no matter the history/ reason.

This, I am glad he was found not guilty, but that is because I hope they stop now.
