Lynn"s parents live in Kansas. G. Marshall is happy at Wichita but will listen and quite possible could end up here if he is pursued by our AD.

Glad it's not your call. He turned down $1.9mil from State last Spring according to JC and WG.

If that is true then money is not what rules him. 1.9M is a lot of money for someone who has never coached above a mid major. I like Marshall and hope to land him based on what I know now. But remember, TBS (and Cockfather) are saying there are some intriguing names out there. I want to hear of them before I see us sinking 2M into a coach.
I think 1.5M tops. What can you buy with 1.9M that you can't buy with 1.5M"?

I'm not really sure what the big deal is where his wife's parents want to live? Marshall (and everyone else really) should make the decision that is best for them and their children.
This is like the classic argument that whomever's wife has a job somewhere, thus she will not want to leave. Unless said person's wife is also making millions a year, the coach's career will take primary importance.

I have no information on the point, but I would bet money he will leave Wichita State. It might not be for here, but I just do not think it is his last job.
Coaches do not stay at Wichita State for a career. I doubt that he will set a new standard.
I suspect he goes after this year considering his rotation is five seniors and two juniors.

You don't think the budget would be higher at USC
Wichita St may have a supportive fanbase, but it is limited by size. USC has much more resources, and if he can win, Marshall would tap into much more than Wichita St could ever offer him
