Now I don't want to rile JC up, but having watched Rolin's film and read the analysts' takes on this kid, plus his offer list, I've got to ask. What the HECK is TOS thinking with a 5.7 S3 Star grade on this kid. Sorry, I know its not important, but when I saw the gap I just couldn't comprehend. I mean a 5.7 is rought an 88 or 89 grade on 247, and that's a huge gap to a 94 four star.
I guess my question is has TOS recruiting capabilites dropped so badly that they just have no clue? Like I said, not really important, but this kid can play. Personally I think he'd be a monster TE, but not mad if he wants to be a big time LB.

They have only done one set of ranking and that was months ago. They are about to update the rating and he will get the bump to 4*.
The rating right now on every site are very very raw. The scouts have lil to go off of right now and have had very little time to see every single player they ranked. Once football season starts you always see the sites change rating cuz of things they missed or prospects they just didn't get a chance to evaluate.
If said player didn't get to any of the first camps then he won't be ranked high cuz the scouts based their rankings on the first camps. Now there have been several on going camps and the scout have seen more players (guys that didn't make it to the first ones) and that is why the rankings adjust.

TOS has been slower on coming out and revising ratings. Where 247 revises often Rivals has to get together and revises only have couple of months.
