I reply to maybe 1/10th of his trolls. This was going to get replies, so why exclude myself?

Personally, I heckle with words of encouragement and tips on proper fielding technique. It's a reverse psychology thing. You guys who yell 'drop it' and other obscenities are just unimaginative and are tuned out by the first inning.

As long as someone is not vulgar (I am not when I heckle though clemron fans in the parking lot can change that but only in the parking lot) heckling is part of the game PERIOD. What do you think hey batter "batter batter batter SWIIIIINNNNNGGGG" is? It's heckling that we're taught from the time we step between the chalk. If you don't make fun of clemron, Vandy, LizardU, MSU, and Allbarn for the Richard Simmons/Suzzane Sommers stretching routines between innings you're not doing your job as a fan. Jacklegg taught all his coaches that goofy bs. Good clean heckling is an art, generally gets the crowd a little more rowdy, and you can get in the head of a player once in a while (for example LF mullet guy from Va Tech, Duqenes LF, and we even got to Schafer a little back in March). If you don't like heckling, then I suggest you not attend the games because someone might utter a naughty word at some point too this however must kept to minimum in the presence of ladies and children or their will be problems. It's always interesting come post season when the non-baseball diehards start popping up.

I was with my nephew at the Va Tech regional game last year and he was telling their guys that they looked like a bunch of candy corns in reference to their uniforms. I thought it was quite funny.
