Boathouse is cool, along with Scott's fishouse at shelter cove marina. Pretty cool spot and decent food. Also a good beach bar thats a hidden gem is the dunes house in palmetto dunes. Great atmosphere, and directly on the beach. Frozen drinks etc...

Charley's Crab is right next to Boathouse. Its great too. Hudson's is right there too but a little overrated IMO
Shelter Cove area (almost waterfront) has some pretty good ones too - Kingfisher, Scotts Fish Market, etc.
Harbour Town and South Beach Marina, inside of Sea Pines is worth going to too for the waterfront experience.

Stick to Boathouse, Do not go to Hudsons, SeaTrawler, or Kingfisher which has gone downhill in the past years. Best kept secret on the island is Sunset Grille at the RV park on your way off the island.

I'm headed to HHI this weekend to see my brother so I appreciate the thread. We eat breakfast at a railroad car (or mobile home) something that looks like crap from the outside and is small inside that is good everytime I go. Apparently the people who work there aren't very nice on purpose
