How many of you actually PLAYED football, and what level?

I dont expect many of you have my experience and accolades. I was the back up defensive end on the 1977 Camden High JV team. So when I critique SOS, I know what I am talking about! :) :)

haha nice. played that backyard no pads football. also been known to work somebody on NCAA 12. i would like to think i know a little something about football lol

Walk-on, Flanker-USC, '80-81;
Columbia High School; Played under John Daye and Jim Ringer, 1975-1976 (16-4) and Region 4-AAAA Champions in 1976 (defeated SV, 20-7).
Teammates included:
Terry Blocker (FL & Safety; Started both ways in the 1977 Shrine Bowl; drafted in 1st and started in centerfield for the NY Mets and then Atl. Braves);
Angelo King (played at SC State; started at LB for the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions);
Cas Danielowski-(OL at USC);
Heyward Hinton (All-American at PC) and
the late Keith Kinard (4AAAA Lineman of the Year and played at Wofford).

I played WR on the CHS JV team as well. Some called me the white Jerry Rice, but you know how parents are.

I played fullback at Polk High. Believe it or not I has MVP for senior season. My best game was 4 touchdowns, and I set a school record that still stands for TD's that season.

I played Pop Warner, middle school at Hammond Academy, jv and Varsity at Dreher, I also lettered in track, cross country, swimming, soccer, and wrestling. Some D II offers for soccer and cross country, but not enough to pull me away from 5 points!!!

Back yard all American for two years and imaginary defensive back of the 1980's until career threatening injury forced me from the sport I love. So I know what the hell I'm talkin' about.

BK...what years were you at Camden High?
By the way since we are mentioning other sports, I played on the golf team at Augusta State.

Never really played football. In fact, prior to Green Bay, I had never been a head coach at any level. I broke into the NFL as a quality-control assistant with the Kansas City Chiefs in 1993. I spent the first 13 years as an NFL assistant, which included six seasons as an offensive coordinator calling plays in New Orleans (2000-04) and San Francisco (2005). So since I never played I really don't know alot about football.

LOL! I was a backup tackle on the 1958 Camden High JV team. That was so long ago, we still had a couple of old single-wing plays in the playbook, with a "spinback" and a "blocking back.

I graduated in 2010, dad graduated in '80.
Also played baseball there, 2009 Lower State Champs; Played travel ball with Koumas and current Carolina commit Kris Nelson. Had a couple D-II offers but I couldn't say no to USC.

1 Year High School Football...wasn't for me. Too much practice time I thought.
Tranferred that fall to CBA which was a powerhouse for all sports aside from football, think Don Bosco
4 Years All-State Hockey CBA 87-91
2 Years All-State Track CBA 88, 91
3 Years All-County Baseball CBA 88-91
