I'm embarrassed for the SEC because of officiating...

It really makes the league look bad to have such incompetence on display nationally every week.
I know in every football game there are countless plays that are not called - borderline clips or blocks in the back, holding calls that could go either way and may not affect the play, push-offs by receivers or DBs down the field - but usually the blatantly obvious infractions are called. Not in our game today.
Think about the absolutely horrible calls that either went against us or weren't called:
1) No call on the late hit on Lattimore's knees out of bounds
2) Offensive interference on Alshon when it was clearly defensive holding
3) Incomplete pass on Newton when it was clearly a lateral by nearly 2 yards and would've clearly been intentional grounding had it been a forward pass
4) The block on Markett on the return that wasn't called
5) The defensive holding on their linebacker on an incomplete pass to Lattimore
It was ridiculous and I'm really glad this wasn't a close game because these kind of blown calls could cost us a close one. I'm even more glad Marcus wasn't crippled by the cheap shot on his lower leg by the same player who got called for unnecessary roughness later in the game.

I imagine that hit on Markett is what caused his concussion. Can't believe a flag wasn't thrown on that or the late hit on Latt. Both happened right in front of officials.

Terrible officials
The real USC is the one that didn't finish in the top 25. The real Carolina is Academic Fraud U. South Carolina back to back Top 10. Got it.

It is awful! The block-in-the-back on Marty Markett where the "official" Referee did nothing was appalling. Time to turn some of the slackards into the SEC Office and get some repercussions. Marginal calls are one thing, but blatant ones are another.

Correct me if I'm wrong - this is now 4 S.E.C.games and our opponents have yet to be flagged for holding.

i have no issues with the officiating - except for the length of time it takes to evaluate replays. the system is horrible. have hated instant replay from the day it was instituted. with repect to the list above, you can make a similar one for every game played, college or pro, every weekend. the game is too fast now to see everything.

Guy who threw the flag on Alshon was behind the defender so I get he didn't see the guy holding Alshon and only saw him separating. Wrong call but understandable due to positioning. No call on late hit on Latt was really the most egregious that I saw. SEC refereeing really has looked bad this year though throughout the conference imo.

The PI on Alshon was a direct response to Joker bitchin, moanin, and complaining several plays in a row! He's such a punk! I'm glad SOS ran it up on his sorry ass! He was so smug after they caught the biggest break in the football season when Latt got hurt last year! Was also smug and a smart a** during the week! One last thing, he sucked as a wideout coach while here too! He and Jappy Oliver were two of the most worthless POS's ever hired by Holtz!

That call really stuck in my craw because UGA got away with a blatant PI and then UT gets flagged on a 3rd-down stop that was a no-call at best.
But as many have pointed out, this is the SEC. Some of the best football you can watch but with the blindest refs imaginable.
