Ward is an excellent recruiter. Jr I think has done a decent job as recruiting coordinator. The other guys are too new to tell.

I would not be so quick to judge the new guys. They need some time to get their feet wet. Brown, Sands, Botkin and Robinson etc.

Probably so. If there are 60 something BCS schools, I guess 55 to 60 schools could say the same thing. I dunno maybe Clemson has a staff of 10 above par recruiters. Troll competition.

I pay little attention to recruiting rankings, because of what happens once recruits go through a college season or two; i.e. Crowell, Bellamy and others too numerous to name here.
To me, proof of successful recruiting is success on the field. This staff has assembled enough talent to win 20 games the last two years and land 6 players on this year's preseason All-SEC team. As far as I'm concerned, that's good recruiting.

I was making fun of the OP. If you take away the best, everyone else is usually average or subpar. Our DL is fantastic, but without those three it obviously isn't as good. It's the same with the coaching staff.

That leaves Junior, Lawing, Botkin, Sands, Brown and Robinson.
Junior is a weak recruiter, IMO. Lawing may have been a good recruiter at one time but he's not done much lately. The other 4 are new and it's too early to tell. I assume that when Junior and Ward picked the new coaches they considered recruiting ability. We'll see.
