Is it better to sit in the west or east upper?

I am picking my seats for the upcoming season in a few days and currently have seats on about the 30 in the east upper about 13 rows up. There are similar seats available in the west upper. What's the difference other than being on the home side?

the biggest difference is being directly in the sun in the east upper. I have been in the east upper for a long time and love it on that side despite the sun, cause its going to be hot no matter where you sit.

Have sat in the east upper for thirty years and would never sit in the west upper. The sun can be annoying but IMO fans on the east upper are a little rowdier and less likely to sit on their hands

I sat in the East Upper for 14 years and it sucked. You are more likely to have away fans on that side and on the extremely hot days they tend to run out of bottled water in the East upper by halftime.

Visiting fans are usually in their allotted sections. The seats he described would be no where near those sections. The only way he would be by a visiting fan would be if the season ticket holders around him sold/gave away their tickets to them. You have just as much of a chance of that happening on the east side as the west side.

The press box blocks afternoon sun in a large portion of upper west. All things being equal I suggest seats on the north end of upper west. Due to the angle of the sun the northern end has more shade and is closer to the new "TV".
Found this picture to demonstrate. You can see how there are only 2 sections in lower west-north that aren't in the shade while there are 3 sections in lower west-south.

West. I can't count the times when I have looked across the field and saw the sun shining down on the east side and been thankful I was sitting or standing in the shade.

East concourse is also much tighter , not to mention the entrance moves more slowly close to game time. The sun advantage of the West makes it by the preferred side for myself no matter upper or lower or club...

If you enjoy looking into the sun and roasting on day games, then you will love upper east.
I would gladly pay double the amount to sit in west.

Actually, with seats fee's, season ticket sells have declined a ton and its very possiable for season ticket holders and visitors to be right next to each other in the upper deck.

If you've sat in the East Upper for 30 years, how do you have a clue what us the West are doing? We're Game, you're Cocks... it'll never be different, so get used to it.

Why not... I'll bet you dinner anywhere you like there will be tons of upper seats below row 13 on Ebay. It's usually the "extra" seats that big donors buy. I used to get my season tickets from an attorney that were his extra seats. Well, right up until Steve Spurrier came to town and the attorney miraculously decided he didn't want to sell those extra seats anymore.

Actually, yes their were seats available that low of a row and lower thru the 3-game packages they sold last year that anyone could buy. Lot of auburn, florida and clemson fans bought those seats.

Ups and downs to both sides. The hottest I've ever been at a football game is in the east lower, with the east upper a close second (occasionally you will get a little breeze up top). But, I got rid of my west upper, then lower, because it's so darned crowded on the west side - everywhere, in the aisles, the rest rooms, the concession areas. Always seems like there are more people on the west side.

Funny. I can't speak for the East Lower, but the East Upper was like moving cattle. it was so freaking crowded up there. I moved to the West Lower 3 years ago and I couldn't be happier. To each his own I guess.
