SOS jr wasn't hero for developing ace sanders or Jeffrey just like he wasn't failure for those.

Kyle Parker has not improved as a qb....he lost some weapons but hasn't improved.
Ricky sapp improved but didn't live up tp hype.
I don't think James Davis improved.

Were all very overrated. I think a ton of in state players are overrated.

Our entire staff on o is horrible. Dabo wanted and thought he could handle the o....also retained much of the o staff that got bow den canned.....especially poor ol play and conditioning.

If I had been dabo....brad Scott....rob spence....and joey batson would have been first to go.

Jeff Scott gets bad wrap. Hopkins....jargon brown have both really improved. I give him a pass bc our talent at wr wasn't that good when he was hired.

And just to make clear....I was bragging on jc there.....I trust and value his opinion. If he says so and so can play then I know the kid can.

I think there is a difference between misses/busts than lack of development. Mark Barnes was a miss/bust/overrated whatever you want to call it same goes for many Clemson/Carolina players over the years. 3 players that really come to mind on our team we have developed with red shirts and time are Devin Taylor, Kyle Nunn, and DL Moore. DL and Kyle have become very solid for us and Taylor is on his way to being a star.

Woodrow I'm sure you also have players you can point to as well but I think the major difference is that Clemson has really done less with more over the past few years. The ACC has been way down over the past 5 years but Clemson hasn't been able to take advantage save a division championship on the back of CJ Spiller and continues to struggle with teams that are considered to have much less talent across the board. Keep in mind even when SC finishes in the top 15 in recruiting nationally we still are 6-7th in our conference typically. Thanks for posting over here by the way love getting your insight.

I am not a conference guy andvactually pull against the league....but many people don't realize Clemson has the 9th most active players on NFL rosters.....that was as of august. We had 19.

Ahead of duke...wake....and ncsu I think. And one of those schools had 18.

"Overrated out of high school" = cop out for failed to develop IMO...some guys fall into that category, but assuming each player that was hyped as a recruit and did not make any impact at Clemson was simply "overrated" is awfully convenient
