I really liked JC's five hidden gems article today. But I was just curious at what 5 players Carolina could have signed but didn't offer that turned out to be just as good or better than the five guys listed by JC. Not trying to stir anything up, just curious. Thanks!

Interesting question, I would also like to hear their thoughts.

JC's list is good, but its over a much longer timeframe. the 5 gems are on this team now, I would be curious who would be the 5 "misses" in the past 4 or 5 years - 5 players who we could have had but passed on and now they are significant players at other schools
Current Spurlock, Sanders and Kyle Fischer. Past Gaines Adams, Joe Hamilton, Chris Hairston, Armanti Edwards among others.

I seem to remember we were at the top of the list with Phillip Rvers . He was a 2 star QB, that turned out pretty good. It was on Countdown to Signing Day.
