Where does UVA stand in all this realignment talk? Are UVA and VT tied at the hip like most seem to think? Would they ever move to the Big ten? If Clemson and FSU bolt would that be enough for UVA to look around, I feel sure VT would. Thanks.

UVA had to pull a number of strings to assist Tech into the ACC. Our governor at the time had to get involved. Basically the state government pushed UVA to swallow hard and back Tech into the ACC. From what I have been told, if Tech were to try to leave the ACC, they would be met with serious political back lash. I can see no way Tech would ever leave. Now if the ACC was raided by the Big 10 and Big 12, then obviously all bets are off. But in my opinion Tech will never leave on their own. They understand that they are forever tied to UVA and the ACC, and will NOT step on the toes that gained them entrance.
