Jedeveon Predictions let em' fly!

I know this has so many unmeasured variables in the prediction, but what do you think will come of a 6'6" or 6'7" 260 pound running a 4.5 forty DE. In my opinion He is as fast as most running backs, don't know about strength but doesn't look feeble by any means. To me he looks like once he learns the system, he will be quite a force to reckon with, even as a freshmen.

"Force" come on, 6'6" and 260 is common place down at five points, haven't ya heard. Basically JC is just a guy who could blend into the party scene there.

I'll go with 6 sacks and a couple of forced turnovers. I think he will have a HUGE impact on our defense immediately. Yes, I believe the hype!

In any other year in the history of Gamecock football, JC would come in and start from the first play of practice and take every snap.
But Melvin Ingram is a terrific DE and our top returning sackmaster. We have the luxury of working Clowney in. I don't think this will decrease his stats; I think he will come in on obvious passing situations to start and we may see Devin, Melvin and JC on the field at the same time.
Nothing worse for an OT to see a fresh JC chompin at the bit.

The freshman sack record is Norwood's seven.
the school single season record is Provence's ten.
I have been a little bit of a doubter that he'd be dominant from the giddyup (beating Ingram will be difficult) but I'd say he is a bigger talent and perhaps more physically ready than Norwood so you never know.

I'm going with Tony's prediction of 7. I think he'd have more if it weren't for Ingram and Taylor. My gut feeling tells me he'll force at least one turnover and even get a TD as well.

I think he will play mostly in passing downs. I also think he should get about 4 sacks this year. He is very talented but talent alone will not allow him to dominate as he did in high school.
