Just heard 2 ridiculous Clemson statements this AM

  • I live in the Charlotte area and was listening to the Mac Attack on WFNZ this morning and they had two guests on who just made absurd statements.

    The 1st was Phil Steele and he stated that Clemson would lose to Florida State (which he has #1 in the country so that probably ruins his credibility right there) and then they would not lose another game all year. Also on the ESPN blog they have his bowl predictions and he has South Carolina going to the Gator Bowl.

    The 2nd was Brenston Buckner (I realize that he is a Clemson grad but this is just absurd) stated that Nkemdiche was bigger, stronger and faster than Clowney. Multiple people sent him the article that was written by a recruiting analyst that said Clowney was better and it wasn't even close. To back up his statement, he then said that Nkemdiche runs a 4.4 forty (if this were true then I would possibly agree with him) but he doesn't even have his facts straight - per 247, he runs a 4.65 forty.

    Just ridiculous.

    That 4.4 was a "Clemson 4.4." Those are special, rare performances never seen in captivity. They've only been seen by the same people that have taken pictures of big foot.

  • I would be shocked if he actually ran anything faster than a 4.8. This is a 290 lb young man. He is very, very big. Clowney is built like a large wide receiver. There is a HUGE difference in their body types. If you watch his film, he is not a speed guy. Speed is not his game at all. He just powers through high school linemen.

    There is no way in the world that guy is faster than Matt Rolin, no way. Larenz Bryant just ran a 4.6, no way that HUGE dude is as fast as Bryant. I do not buy that.

    Well, the guy is obviously scared to go workout in any of these camps, lest he get exposed for being overrated as he is.

    This is probably at the behest of Abo and crew, as they will work to protect his No. 1 ranking. Recruiting ranking mean a lot to them.

    My thought exactly. If all of this is being said in Charlotte where I very rarely hear about these morons then I can only imagine what is being said elsewhere.

  • Typical May -the Aug comments. Thee ACC is the most overhyped conference in college football. And clemson is the #1most overhyped team in college football. Happens every year and this year will be no different.

    My prediction will be closer than Phil. Coast will not only lose to clemson...they will lose 4 games. The taters will also lose 4 games, but win their overhyped division. And no one will care.

  • We all know how the clemson propaganda machine tells their fans exactly what they want to hear, and gets their hopes up in orbit around the moon, only to have them let down, then to have abo them feed them another line of crack that gets them dream'n big dreams. Happens every year now. Notice how good clemson looks to their fans after the biggest bowl loss in BCS History. Need I say more? Let them drink the urrange kool-aid, it's almost as funny as watching someone get drunk.

  • Buckner is a Clemson thug who as I recall came down with his elbow on one of our running backs who was already down - his senior year. Having him speak about anything relevant is like having Alex Sandusky
