Kiper doesn't have Alshon in top 2 rounds.

  • Little surprised especially after his workout. Kiper has some guys I have never heard of. Anyone want to wager that Kiper is wrongargue

I think he's wrong. No way Alshon lasts until the third round.

    Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty

  • I know very little about the draft, but it seems obvious A-1's agent made the wrong decisions all around.

  • Kiper talks to NFL personnel from every team. So I'm guessing he isn't receiving rave reviews on AJ.

AJ was arguably the best college WR to ever play at USC. His size, athleticism, and circus catches made him an "awe" receiver. NFL teams love that. But they also love guys who have all that and are polished fundamentally. AJ isn't. He struggles getting off the press, struggles creating separation, and his work ethic and conditioning is a concern. He's in great shape now but NFL teams may ask why he wasn't aggressive in being the best he could be in college.

AJ will forever be remembered as an all time great WR at USC. He will need to improve drastically with his fundamentals to be an elite NFL WR.

  • Well, if he goes 3rd round, somebody will get a bargain.

Regardless, Alshon nearly broke the all time SEC record in 3 yrs! Kiper's an idiot...

Although I do think Alshon should be in the top 2 rounds, this is like finding the one thing you don't like in a Top 100 list and calling the whole thing garbage.

I agree but it probly has something to do with the ranking.

No sir, I'm a huge Alshon fan! However, I'm rational enough to look at it from all angles. The dude would have shattered the record, and put it out of reach, had he returned! He produced with spotty QB and OL play in the SEC. The league that won every MNC during his career...

I think your criticisms are valid to a degree, but all of those can be controlled or mitigated by coaching. The things he has that can't be coached, like size, speed, and freakish athleticism/hands, are what are going get him drafted sooner rather than later.

  • Mel Kiper is not drafting anyone. He's entitled to his opinions, though. So am I. Ally will go in the first two rounds..and, Mel Kiper molests collies.
