Knile Davis

  • So, I caught that he claimed that he was the best running back in the SEC at media days this week. Fine the man is entitled to his opinion.

    But, I read this morning on Aschoff's "Best Of" blog post on the SEC blog that Davis even went as far as saying that he's coming after him?

    From the Aschoff article:
    Best moment: Davis was as cool and relaxed as ever during his time in Hoover. He had no problem proclaiming that he still was the league's best running back, but the best moment came when he was leaving our room. As Davis headed toward the door, Chris asked him if he still thought he was the best and Davis replied with a smile, "Still the best and tell Marcus [Lattimore] I'm coming for him."

    Knile clearly was too busy watching Rocky 3 on netflix during his rehab while Marcus was hitting the weight room.

    Try making it through fall practice before you start shooting your mouth off. Cant wait for November 10th.

  • Marcus is very rattled, and just tweeted he has made a decision to either change positions, or give up football altogether. He made the following statement.

    "You should have seen the look on his face! it was scary! Knile was dead serious! I cannot play knowing mean, scary guys like that are coming for me."

    Seriously, though, people should not air their insecurities at big media events like the SEC Media Days, it just looks silly.

    It's the "still" that is really perplexing. Last time he played, Ingram and Richardson were still at Alabama as well as Marcus being here. I think SM is right though, he's showing his insecurities.

    The "Still" that he's referring to is that he made the same proclamation at last years SEC Media days saying he was the best back in the SEC. He then broke his ankle 3 weeks alter the first week of fall practice.

    I just couldn't help but draw the immediate clubber lang comparison...and I think its a little foolish to proclaim yourself the best RB in the SEC when its been over 18 months since you've played a down in a live game.

  • What's he supposed to say?? I'm not a really good running back. Marcus Lattimore is better than me. Only a non-competitive wimp would make that kind of a statement!! Of course, we believe Marcus is better!! The article also said they, along with Cristine Michael, are friends. I used to rib my friends a lot over who was the better baller.
