I hope Pastides is more sports-minded than when he had to be gently encouraged by some of the other SEC presidents to attend a meeting concerning SEC expansion.
I hope Eddie Fogler plays no part in the search.

Well, Kornblut isn't actually reporting it but rather stating that it is being reported. That being said, I'm hearing the same thing from one source but I'm trying to confirm it with more than just one person before I put my name on anything. We're trying our darndest to get this.

Maybe Fogler will recommend we hire Mike McGee back. You think he would?

Pastides seems to be very supportive of the athletic department. I feel that he will make a strong hire. While I would prefer Tanner to remain head baseball coach, if he wants the AD job and USC thinks he is the man I'm fine with it.

Lets do a search and make sure we get the best guy. Whether its Tanner, the guy from GT, Brad Edwards or whomever. Good luck to Eric he did great things here. Not going to fault a guy getting closer to family.
