Surratt news is encouraging. Glad he, Kelcy, Fordham, Jerideau, Green and Dukes are all back next season.....and most of those for several seasons.

Brad Lawing: Top 5 assistant coach in my 50+ years as a Gamecock Fan. He develops players. Some of our best players in the past came in under the radar and Brad made them into NFL and/or All-SEC performers. Now that he has great talent, the sky is the limit! Could not meet a nicer guy either.

awesome answer on the last question about holding, even though, as a fan, it is so frustrating to see them not being called. lawing expects greatness and makes no excuses

The interview doesn't mention Chaz Sutton and I have noticed he has played well when in. He has two more years with us too. He can get more aggressive, but I am glad we have him two more years.

Good read. It's got to be frustrating to get held so much and no calls. I know it's maddening to sit and watch it as a fan I want to jump out there and throw a flag myself. I was very surprised at the no calls at MSU some of the holds were right there for the world to see. It got to the point the D-line and there O-line for MSU started holding knowing there wasn't going to be a call. We need to bring yellow flags or towels and start throwing them on the field or waving them around when there is a no call when it's as clear as day.

I like Lawing a lot, but I can't for the life of me figure out how Fordham is ahead of Jerideau. Aldrick is just too small (and I know that's something he's never heard before, and seems odd to say given his relative size). He needs to pack some weight on. Every time he's in the game, the other team runs right at him. Lawing seems to love his technique, but this same result has been happening without fail through seven games. I truly don't understand it. I think we'd see immediate dividends if we committed to giving Jerideau 30+ snaps per game. Quarles has definitely come on strong, so that would give us a good three man rotation with Trav.

Putting it mildly,our recruiting at DT has not kept pace with our recruiting at DE. Hopefully, Dukes, Green and the Dixons will change that.

Agreed. Sutton has improved greatly from last year. He'll be a solid starter for us one day.

True that. It's a real shame that Lattimore had to run behind such a poor OL. We have to hope that our young OL will improve.
