Lowes Food gas program...

  • If you spend $100.00 on groceries then you get a 5 cent gas credit. Multiply that by ten and $1,000 will get you 50 cents worth of gas, and multiply again and $10,000 spent at Lowes will get $5.00 in gas....maybe a gallon. It's the Obama new energy plan.

  • The Bi-Lo one here in Columbia is like the lowe's one except you get five cents for every 50 dollars you spend. The five cents is off of every gallon up to 20 gallons. So basically a dollar for every 50 you spend. pretty horrible.

  • Harris Teeter has a deal where you buy a $25.00 gas card for $20.00. Supposedly require a $40 minimum purchase, but they have never enforced it strictly for me. Even if they did, that's five bucks for spending $40.

It's not a bad deal if you're going to spend the money anyway. The $.05 a gallon discount accumulates.

  • I don't know for sure, but it feels like the Bi-Lo has gone to every $25. I'm getting discounts much more often than before, it seems.

It's still $50 at least here in the boro. They've just raised prices so we get to the $50 mark a lot quicker.

If you want my opinion about the pres then I will say I think he's a dickhead...maybe not so different from your french pastry ass. That man is ruining this country
If you want to be a big bad ass and come to the beach and be a ogre and beat the hell of me then come on and I will have plenty of witnesses with cameras and then I'll sue you for you idiocity.

You seem to be angry about a lot of things. I will leave you to your hate of Obama and the French.

Do you buy groceries anyway? If so, what is wrong with getting a discount on gas for purchases you were already making?

I don't think anyone goes to lowe's food or Bilo with the thought, "I need to go out and buy some groceries I don't need so I can save money on gas". If they were, that would be stupid. Since that is not hat is
happening, nothing wrong with fuel perks at all.

To think it is wrong is kind of odd.

Doubt it's worth the bandwidth it takes up. That said, it really depends on how much gas you use. I fill up a 24 gallon tank every other week. I don't stand to save much, so I shop at the most convenient store. People the drive a lot more than me definitely save money though.

I don't see where it has anything to do with our president though. If you don't like him that's fine. Just try to find a real reason instead.

  • So you are bitching about getting something for free? That is the Obama plan for everything, entitlement. you've done nothing special to get the gas credit, yet you are insulted when it's not as much as you want.

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubble gum.
