Most exciting Braves win in years...

  • That was unbelievable. They said Doc Halladay was 104-0 when given a lead of 4 runs or more, then he proceeds to give up a 6 run lead in the blink of an eye. The McCann slam was straight up awesome. Then to have that punkass Ruiz pimp a 3 run bomb to give Philly the lead back made me throw up in my mouth. Then the Braves score 5 in the 8th to take the lead again before the Phils get the equalizer in the 9th. Then you know who won it on a walk-off. He'll be in the Hall of Fame in about 5 1/2 years.

As I was watching I just knew Chipper was going yard. His first swing told the story. He just missed that pitch. Then the foul ball that had the distance. It's too bad his body can't handle the rigors of a full season any longer. The man can still play ball!

That was a much needed win over the Phillies. After losing 8 in a row to them, It had to be in heads of the Braves players. Hopefully that gets the monkey off their back and they can build on it. Hope they can get the W this afternoon and take the series. That was Chipper's 500th HR of his pro career (458 in the majors)...pretty cool!

  • Chipper was the #1 WR in the country coming out of HS. Remember in his younger days, he could really run as well. He is just a great baseball player. One of my favorites of all time.

Where do you come up with this stuff ? Chipper was a good high school football player, but #1 wide receiver in the country ? I don't think so .

Halladay is still 104-0 with a lead of four more more. As soon as Ruiz hit the three run shot, Halladay was off the hook for the loss.

A 3-hit shutout after scoring two TDs - baseball is a funny game, isn't it?
