South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw is the most efficient passer in the SEC and would be second in the NCAA with enough passes to qualify.

Thanks again JW
Two grand boys, Two state championships. 5-peat USC
I watched UGA's game agains UT and noticed that Erin Murray doesnt have that look in his eye. Not too sound cliche but he didnt have the eye of the tiger. It was obvious. Watch Brady, Big Ben, Manning, BETWEEN plays. The focus and resolve in their eyes is incredible. They look like they are in total control
Connor has it. Thats why I thought we would beat UGA and he is 11-1 (is that right) as a starter. It isnt luck
And thats why I believe we could have a special year. Hes a winner. I cant remember many SC QB's if any that had it. I thought Syvelle had it, and Tanneyhill..maybe Mike Hold. But thats about it
We are lucky to have Connor Shaw
Thanx for writing that, JW.
I agree with Shaw being a Heisman candidate. His efficiency this year has made him far more than just a game manager. He is one of the hardest players to game plan for. His passing is very, very good. And, he is not just a mobile QB, he is an explosive weapon when he takes off. The best I've seen wear the garnet and black.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
one thing i like about watching shaw run is his ability to pick which hole he hits, if youll notice once he hits a hole he doesn't have to juke that often and usually gets 8-12 yards up the field before he has to really make another decision. most QB's that tuck and run end up panicking and not really getting a feel for where the rest of the D is. Connor is a very smart football player. not just QB. as far as a heisman candidate... i would love to see it but with as little respect as south carolina gets from ESPN in general... generating enough hype is gonna take solid games and big numbers every week( which im more than positive he can do, lol. no one bite my head off) I'm very excited to see what happens next.
another great read. Thanks JW
hopefully he can continue his outstanding play. What I really like from in the UGA game was that he got it out downfield on time. If he can consistently do that, he might stay a Heisman trophy candidate
I think this LSU game will tell us how high is Shaw's ceiling.
JW, you are getting better and better! I feel strangely confident going into this weekend?
