  • That's like asking me to choose which one of my children is my favorite.

As I read through others lists, I kept thinking...yep, I'd include him, and him, and him, and him....

Some names that really stand out to me though....

(and remember...I am mostly a football guy)
    Ryan Brewer
    Phil Petty
Wow, I loved it when those two were playing, especially in the Outback Bowl Games where Ryan played like a man possessed.

Today...Not only is Marcus Lattimore a great player, but a man of great character, which is awesome considering his age. His character alone makes him my all time favorite.
    Alshon........Alshon........Alshon.....enough said. What a player!
Sidney Rice...another great that I hated to see leave early.
Melvin Ingram....I hope you have a great career Melvin, but pleaseeee...don't play for the cowgirls.
Clowney...sure to one of the most awesome DE's of all time...I can't wait to see what the next 2 or 3 years will be like. Oh please stay for 4 years and set NCAA records that will never be broken!

Ok, that is the 7 that stand out to me for the moment. Ask me again tomorrow and that list might be different if I remember another player or two that stood out....such as......

  • Here is my top 7 list. I have only been following Carolina since 04 so my list is of more recent players and my list still could be at least 25 players long.

Deven Downey- Very electric player. His performace against UK was unbelievable.
Sidney Rice- He made great play after great play.
Kenny McKinnley- RIP #11. He was a great player. I miss him( no homo)
Lattimore-he is a gamecock on and off the field. One of the all-time greats
Roth- What he did against Clemson two years ago will be remembered for years.
Price-That UVA game where he basically willed himself to pitch will always stick out in my mind
Wingo-His plays in that first game against UF will out be forgotten by Gamecock fans.
