We do play a lot of man free, which is man coverage, and one safety that roams the field. That is what they are talking about, it's just a single deep safety. The other safety is engaged in man coverage, or up in the box.
The coaches are playing mind games with clempsin. DJ will play safety, corner, and spur against clempsin. I guarantee you that.

tj gurley hurt his knee pretty bad, and is out for the season, maybe next season too. or at least some of it.
