OT: America’s Moving Services

I’ve been looking at different moving companies for my upcoming move and came across the name of America’s Moving Services, which is a family-owned business headquartered on Bush River Rd in Columbia. It has a Better Business Bureau rating of “A,” which was lowered due to the short length of time it has been operating (February 2005).
Overall, the online reviews I’ve seen have been very good. Also, their quote is comparable to the quote I received from the company that handled my last move. I was very satisfied with the other company, but would like to give the business to a SC company.
Since this business is located in Columbia, I was hoping some on here have either used or heard of them. I hate moving and dealing with moving companies, so it would be easier just to use the same company, but I prefer to support smaller, local businesses whenever possible, so any info would be appreciated.

Wish I could help but my moving business didn't make it. I had big plans for "one man and two trucks" also. Turns out I couldnt lift all the furniture by myself and one truck just sat there.

I haven't used them but speaking of local companies I've used Carolina Moving & Storage in Columbia twice. They were cheaper than everybody else and did very well. It took them 2 hours each time and $150 total each time. Other places I called were wanting to charge 3-5 hundred.

I'm very familiar with Amercian Moving Services. They will take great care of you. Eric and Howard are brothers and joint owners.

I would suggest Minute Man Movers. Locally owned and operated by my wife's family. Cheap rates, experienced movers. Tell them Shaun told you to call them and I will make sure you get the most experienced guys they have.

No, everything but a fridge. They did everything for 150, where other companies i called including one listed on this thread, wanted to charge me over 400 dollars.

oh yeah it was within Columbia, but like i said in the post above they were by far cheaper than other places i got quotes for.
