Hilton is better. I typically travel 90 - 120 days / year. Did Mariott for 6 years and last 4 with Hilton. I would say you get almost twice as many reward stays (free nights). They also have frequent programs to double or triple your points. I am a diamond member. Not that Mariott is bad, just reward program with Hilton is better. The hotel ammenities / quality / service are similar in my opinion.
I prefer Starwood. They have the most value of all of the major hotel loyalty programs at around 2.8 cents per Starpoint. Also, the Starwood AmEx is one of the best travel credit cards out there. If you're staying at Starwood properties and paying with a Starwood card, you're getting 4x - 5x Starpoints depending on status.
I have Mariott and Hilton, but have found myself going more toward the Hilton properties lately.
Member of most of them.
Use Hilton and Marriott the most.
