Thought you guys might get a kick out of what my shortstop did. My varsity starting shortstop is only an 8th grader, so that should tell you that she is a talented young lady.
A few weeks back she hit her first varsity dinger and it was a grand slam Friday she hit dinger #2 and it too was a grand slam Saturday she went yard for the third time and....you guessed it, it was a slam. She finished the day with a 3 run shot to end her streak of grand slams.
I know a lot of great hitters that go their whole career and never hit one, much less three. This kid has done that in the first 3 weeks of her 8th grade year. For the record she is hitting .425 with 4HR's, A triple, 5 doubles, 28 RBI's, and 15 runs scored.
And yes I will be contacting coach Smith soon about getting her on the radar.
