OT: Safran's Gamecock Shop off of Assembly

  • I've been over there a few times now but not in the last few years. Just went over there to get something Gamecock for our new baby's room. The place is unreal. I could literaly spend all day in there and ALL of my money. Whether you've been a Carolina fan for 2 years, 20 years or 80 years there's tons to look at. Anyone else bought stuff from there? Got a cool framed needle point of a big Gamecock to hang on the baby's wall.

  • I love that place. Have a quite a few gamecock items in my basement from there. I haven't been in a while. Need to check it out on my next trip to Columbia.

  • Great stuff for memories or to just look at stuff you'll never find elsewhere. The price is a different story. His stuff on Ebay is waaaaay high and overpriced IMO.

    Let's just say the price was negotiable. The piece I got was great and in a brand new mat and frame. Looks great. Those antiques guys all love the negotiation part. He was putting new stuff out as I was looking around including JBJ's batting helmet from last year which I nearly walked out with.

  • last time i was there he had a really nice series of photos from when the building that had a George Rodgers mural on it was torn down. i really liked that piece but yea price was outrageous
