Used it before with good results. A friend in Wild Dunes recently told me that over half of their rentals now come through VRBO.

Have rented at Kingston Plantation and 2nd Row in Surfside previously. Just read the reviews on the properties to make sure there weren't any unhandled issues during previous rentals and you likely will be fine. Bad reviews make properties on VRBO hard to rent, so owners stay motivated to keep up with the issues....

I've used it at Myrtle twice, in WV, a couple times in NC, for the CAP1 bowl this past Jan, and have just used to find awesome places in both AK, and HI for two trips I have in '13. I've been pleased each time, and it's been a very easy situation to deal with.

We used it for a trip to Park City a few years ago and had no issues.
You should also look at Home Away. The properties are mostly the same but the Home Away interface seems better, IMO. I think Home Away may have actually acquired VRBO several years ago even though each has its own site.

I have used the site a few times as well and won't look at anything else. I only wish I had a property to list on it as I know a lot of people who use it!
