Terra is the best in town imo. I love Tombo Grille as well...the fact that it is 5 minutes from my house makes it even better. I love the local restaurants that change their menus according to what fresh, local ingredients are available.

Really haven't found much lately in Columbia over the years that I would call really good since the days of the old Stadium Steakhouse, Elite Epicurian, and Mary's Celebrity Supperclub. Greenville is an hour away for me rather than the 30 minute drive to Columbia, and I find the options better there.

Greenville is good for the meat and potato crowd. Hardly anything like Garibaldi's. Me. Friendly's, or Gervais and Vine there. Just pretenders.
From the general Greenville area and while I love the area the food above standard fare just isn't there.

Oh, really? We have actually had some better experiences since Gini and Len bought it. I would love to get some other places in the Acres like it. Not a fan of the chains and Rosso is only ok in my experiences there.

Sounds like you haven't been back since you left.
Doubt you would find many who are very familiar with both who would agree.
I know people from Columbia (numerous) who would not agree with you.

I like Rosso, but the menu is limited in my opinion. their pizza is great. that's what I always get. wish there was more fish in the menu. Also wish there were better options in the acres. still like to support tombo, but have been disappointed lately. would rather spend my $150 in five points or elsewhere for the meal you get. would be nice if pasta fresca started specials again

1st Terra, 2nd Terra and then Terra. Excellent food, great wine list, super chef, general mgr, bartender and wait staff. Good Gamecocks and Bama people. Oh yeah, I really like Terra.
