I don't need proof for what the guy ran other than what he was timed at when he went to Bobby Bowden's camp. There are more people than you give credit to that run under 5. The mid to low 4's is elite. But the higher 4's isn't exactly "rare," especially now. It won't likely comprise most players that step on a field. But even the lowest level teams should have at least a couple of guys that run in the 4's. And those are the guys they'll likely be putting in the defensive backfield.

But according to you yesterday four stats could never possibly suck! You must have the keenest of observational skills.

I don't think he's a high four star, but don't think he's "solid" as you said. I think he's actually a good player, but no where near the ranking 247 has given him. If you told me he was a 90, I'd say that's probably right, and maybe a tad high. But just like the kid yesterday, the ranking may not reflect the reality. What I hate to see is someone say a kid with big time offer and a ranking that high isn't a good player, which I read your post as saying. Just like Smith, he is a good player, but just not a top 5 TE.

We are about to pick up a SCISA basketball player soon, and will certainly offer another one shortly. Just sayin.

seems more likely that bama is looking at a situation where they say "meh, we dont need another real rb this year. kid is of decent size...he'd be ok on special teams."

or their way of "working the numbers out" - no way he ever plays rb for them.
