How much was the damage?

You know the series starts Sunday this year, right???

Every gameday morning, they've done a ticket lottery at the park. From 9 to 9:30 local time, they hand out numbers to those waiting in line to buy tkts. At 9:30, they stop handing out numbers, then they draw a number. Whatever that number is, that person becomes the front of the line and everyone behind them is pulled out with them and brought to the front. You can purchase up to 6 that way. It's meant to keep scalpers from just getting there early and packing the front of the line. We've gone up there each morning and spread out with 3 of us along the line. Twice we got stuck pretty far back, but both times fellow Gamecock fans who wound up with extra line numbers hooked us up so we could move up. I assume they're doing the same thing Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (but we'll drive up there this am to make sure we can't get them today).

FWIW, the US Olympic trials are starting Monday, so it will probably get crazy crowded around town.

Cost for flight?

Atlanta to Kansas City was running around $450 last night.

Team is at the Hilton. Stay there if you can and walk to the old market for lunch and drinks. Rocky bottom and upstream are good brewhouse/restaurants. Get a cab to the drover for dinner at least one night. You will find the party at the old mattress factory. Do not come back with a loss. Go cocks!
