One good thing about EJ departure

I think EJ is a premier D Coordinator and I wish he hadn't left..... but I will enjoy not hearing his sob stories, and how it hurts his soul that we beat Clemson like a rented mule. As good as he was he had a lot of Tater in him. That will not be missed. Hope the new guy has more of a "deez nutz" attitude when it comes to Clemson.... if you know what I mean.

Could someone provide me with a link to him commenting on us beating Clemson or a post game interview? I've heard a lot of people talking about how didn't seem to like beating them. I just never noticed it so this made me curious.

beating them did help put money in his pocket, if we had lost the last 3 vs. winning, the whole damn bunch up there might have been looking for a JOB.

My comments in other post were not based on his post-game interviews but on his pre-game post practice interviews. He said something to the effect that he has a lot of friends at Clemson and this week takes a very big toll on him and said that was all he was going to say about how he felt. I took that has meaning he didn't like to play them and beat them because of his ties there. I felt his heart was at Clemson.

I didn't pay much attention to how he felt after the game. I was usually too busy celebrating another butt kicking to go watch his videos.
His style didn't bother me one bit. I liked the guy and he had a personal friend on that staff. I understand why that is not fun. That said, it sure didn't affect his focus, planning, and execution.
I will miss having someone like him coachin the defense. I am also sure we will find another good one.
As good as Ellis was, our defensive success was as much about the talent as the coaching this year. We had the best DL in the history of the school and it showed.

When SOS first came here, he ordered all the "Beat Clemson" signs in the football offices taken down.
He said you don't beat someone by hating them, you beat them by out-recruiting, outworking and out-preparing them.
Then he proceeded to win 4 of the last 6 games against them, the last three being blowouts. He is the first USC coach in 46 years to have a winning record (4-3) against Clemson.
So I could care less what the new DC thinks of Clemson, so long as he helps us beat them.

On topic, I actually agree, and would add that sometimes EJ's passive-aggressive pressers whining about this and that were also irksome. Overall, though, he absolutely helped make us a better team.

Spurrier, Lawing, coaches before Ellis was even here (Ingram and Travian), Ellis, Beamer, etc.
Ellis did help seal the Gilmore and Hollimon commitments.
Ellis wasn't that active as a recruiter. He was very good with Rock Hill
