I say let him walk on and earn a scholarship. He could turn out to be another Courtney Levitt...remember that? Spurrier has no problem awarding scholarships to walk ons that desrve it.

Heard the same about Ard last year and he came in to RS. Same here, let him walk on and if he wins the job give him a schollie.

If you haven't seen the film on this guy, I encourage you to watch it. Thanks sec rules for posting it. This guy would be a HUGE weapon for us and may be the smartest scholarship offer we would make this year. For us to expect him to ignore scholorship offers from other schools to walk on here is a little arrogant on our part. I realize that we have wasted schollys in the past on kickers that haven't produced, but again, watch the film.

I hate to do it because there always seems to be a negative remark in just about every thread but I feel It necessary to point out that he will be kicking from the 30 in college which would cause half of those kicks to land around the goal line which still isn't bad considering what we've had.

He's young and give Fitzy, a year with him.... his 69 yard average gains another 5 yards, at least..
I think we need to lock him up. One of our biggest deficiencies, could be addressed. As MM points out, he might not, and probably won't last.

Sure we can, stop the hyperbole. Kickers are a crap shoot. To offer a schollie we better be dead sure, and as I recall people talking exactly the same way about Ard last year, and he couldn't contribute year 1.

He plays at Darius English/Buster Anderson/Marcquis Roberts school. I'm sure he's been seen enough by Mangus that if we had room we'd offer. The new schollie rule by the sec prevents an offer from going out. Say the staff knows John Doe is heading to prep school, used to be this kid would get an offer and come in while John Doe gets his grades in order.
Blame SEC, stupid rule, hurts the high school kids.
