  • I was wondering why we were getting flagged so much Saturday for ticky tack fouls. This explains a lot.

  • Oh, now you didn't

I still contend to this day that Gardner pushed off like a MOFO and that aforementioned, pansy ass ref swallowed that whistle.

  • It wasn't just the one he didn't call, it was also the one he did against Brian Scott on the ling TD when their DB quite obviously fell down. You will never convince me he wasn't paid off or didn't have money riding on it.

Very true. People always forget that Brian Scott td that he called back earlier in the game. It happened on almost the exact spot on the field where gardner's push off later was not called. He cost us 10 points alone on those two absurd calls. I still get worked up thinking about it.

    EXACTLY!!!!

I was at that game and when he called offensive pass interference on Scott, that took a TD off the board for us...

That call was worse than the no-call at the end of that game !!

  • Is Moreau the official that made the horrible call at the Tennessee Fla game a few years back that cost Fla the game. If so, he should not be officiating.

Having said that, there was a terrible non call on at least one holding of Clowney when he was chasing the qb.

personally, from where my seats were I thought that was the correct call on B. Scott who suttlely pushed him in back...just being objective.

The push-off by Gardner still sticks in my craw.

But the play many dont talk about was the play right before where Gardner puts both arms around our DB who was ready to make the clinching pick and nothing was called. That was more blatant than the "push-off" which was bad enough..

Whoa... I don't believe it... I pointed him out during the game and joked "It must be Mike Washington". That hold he called on DL Moore (I think it was DL) was just pathetic.

The db just fell down. I've watched it 100x times. Well thrown ball, Brian had the guy beat and he sort of tripped on the turf and fell. As he was falling he got a bit tangled in Brian's legs and he swatted at him a bit to get away, but no righteous ref would've called that penalty. Only thing worse that I've seen was Hackett taking down Garcia with a forearm shiver.

I'd have to see it again as it's been a while, but I thought B Scott gave him a slight, discrete, nudge from behind on the dude's lower back right before the ball got to him. I did think the DB sold it by falling down. Either way...that entire game reeked of bad calls and no calls.

  • Who was the official responsible for the worst call ever against the Gamecocks - the pseudo-safety at Ole Miss? He's the one I'd like to kick in the shin one time.

It wasn't me, but when I'm using my mobile sometimes I accidentally downvote. I usually make it a point to find another thread and give an upvote to the person I accidentally downvote.

Then again there are always Taters lurking. Even one that have no screen name

Yeah that was one of the worst. The Gardner one gets magnified, and rightfully so due to the stakes of the game.

Pretty sure that was on Jermale Kelly, but yeah it was a crap call. Wasn't he the same fatcensored the blew the call along the sidelines early in the UcheaT third and the river game? Might have been Thomas, but I cannot remember for sure. What do remember is our WR getting a foot clearly in and then going out, but being ruled OB. Also several phantom PI and defensive holds called in that game.

  • Jay Vines was the referee at the Ole Miss game in 2003 that called the saftey. He also called a phantom holding penalty nulifying a touchdown scored by Troy Williamson in the Georgia game in 2003 as well. Would have made the score 10-7. We throw INT next play and they score right before half to go up 17-0.

Yeah, this was the worst call that I have ever seen in a college game. Broke the ceiling fan jumping around and swinging my fists.

  • I want to know where the bios of SEC officials are? I can't find them with Google. I did manage to find out that Washington is a former Bama player. Steve Shaw, head of officials, is also a Bama grad.

I think in the interest of fairness and transparency, all SEC officials should have their bios published on the web.

    Edit:
    Found this one too.

I saw the thing from the opposite EZ only a about 10 rows up and even at better than a 100 yards with the naked eye it was evident it was a BS call. Skip's offense really showed out during the comeback that day. The I'ma sit on you and then run away for 6 by Turman had the Ole Miss whinners about to blow a gasket. Without the BS free 2pt we might have won that game. Eli was phenomenal too. Every time you saw him audible you knew the defense was about to get punched in the mouth for a first down. I never understood the firing of Cutcliff nor the hiring of the Ogre. I think Houston will soon be on the hunt for a job as well.
