In my line of work we call people like yourself "jellyfish"....no back bone...would rather stand on the side lines and turn your head to things and then say "well, I didn't see everything"...just hope you never have kids who are put in this situation...if so you better hope they are not depending on jellyfish to do the right thing

We care about your line of work because??

PA state law requires this type thing to be reported to the police. They all broke the law.

I disagree. I believe most of us have put ourselves in the shoes of McQueery, Jopa, the AD, etc. and find their inaction to be reprehensible, inhuman, and most likely illegal.

Let's start with mcqueery. He witnessed a preteen being raped. He did nothing to stop the action. How do you not stop it right then and there and call the.police? How do you not push the issue when it is swept under the rug?

Now let's discuss Jopa. Let's say he's telling the truth about what Mcqueery reported. If one of my employees comes to me and reports another employee fondling a little boy in the showers I would be obligated by both my employer, the law, and humanity to conduct a thorough investigation while also notifying the police. How does a misunderstanding about what happened occur? It's inexcusable.

Repeat what I said about Jopa with regard to the AD.

Finally, there is nothing that could convince me that more people weren't aware, and that the AD and Jopa didn't have more knowledge than what they're claiming. Children were raped and assaulted, and at least a portion of that weight rests FIRMLY on Mcqueery and Joe Paterno's shoulders.

I'm not saying you're wrong man. All I'm saying is when it comes to Paterno or the Grad assistant, I would like to know more about what transpired there.

I'm sure a lot more will surface soon and you may be proven right. I don't know yet.

Paterno didn't witness anything from what I've read. He took the info he was given and reported the "heresay" it to the AD. Sandusky did not work for Paterno.

As far as Paterno goes, that's all I know.

And he reported that the very next day to the AD.

The AD, in my mind, is the one who needs to handle that situation from that point on.

Paterno was the football coach who might have or might not have known if it was true. Again, it is heresay at this point.

I'm not saying Paterno is a saint or that he is innocent by any means. I just think at this point that too much emphasis is being put on what he should or should not have done when ultimately the AD is the one who is most responsible for this terrible thing happening.

Paterno's testimony was that he informed the AD that Sandusky was fondling, or doing something of a sexual nature with a young boy. You believe Paterno's responsibility ended there? Taking away the keys to the athletics buildings was good enough, when the same coach had been investigated for similar things in the past, and ALWAYS had young boys on campus, in the team hotels etc., and ran a charity that put him in contact with 100s of you boys? Telling the boss was enough? Seriously, that fits your expectation under the circumstances?

And that's assuming McQueery only said he was fondling.

Did you read the grand jury report? I may have thought something similar before I had, but not afterward.

I never said that fits my expectation whatever the hell that means.

I never said that telling the boss was enough.

I never said I was satisfied with anything yet.

Not putting words into your mouth at all. I just don't see where the AD has anymore blame than Paterno. In fact, Paterno probably was in a better position than anyone to put a stop to it due to his stature in the community.

PSU did the right thing by canning his arse.

No offense but you sure do sound like one. Each person is entitled to his/her opinion and it shouldn't be that big of a deal. I think we can all agree that what Sandusky did is wrong and very disturbing. For myself, I want to hear everything out in the trial.
