Yesterday, Florida lost to Kansas State, which isn't so bad. LSU lost at Marquette, which was to be expected. However, the other SEC losses were horrible. Texas A&M lost to Southern. Ole Miss lost to Indiana State. Alabama lost to Mercer. Auburn lost to Winthrop.
Any chance the SEC drops basketball?

Which is why I think the Gamecocks have a chance at making the NIT. The bottom half of the conference is not good and our schedule is not terrible like it was last year. We play our toughest games on the road(games we wouldnt win at home) and dont play any of the top teams twice.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. We have lost to elon and not particularly good Clemson and st johns. You need 18+ wins to get into the nit today along with a decent rpi, which we will struggle like hell to have.
If we can get above .500 and into the cbi or something it will be a tremendous year, IMO.

Pathetic day for SEC hoops yesterday...
