Petition to end Racism/Homophobia on the Blue Board

    A group of us have been alerted to the fact that the Blue Board, the flagship board of 247, has and continues to be tolerant of racist/homophobic comments. In an effort to change this, we're starting a petition, with a message to 247 that this type of content is not acceptable for this community.     It's what's wrong with about 15% of America. The other 85% of Americans don't start crying and complaining when they hear something that they don't like. They have other things to concern themselves with-like working and raising a family.

    Here's a bit more info:

    This isn't a one-man crusade or anything like that. It's the brainchild of both the Michigan State and Michigan fanbases; I was nominated to post this on all the 247 boards. The thought was that if both our fanbases could agree on something, then it probably had some merit.

    In terms of "upvotes" the petition is over +70. Our thought is that the Blue Board is the "face" of 247, and we're associated with it by extension. We felt that the racist comments, in particular, were getting out of control. Instead of just making it a few fanbases complaining, we posted it on all the 247 sites.

    I don't care about downvotes or the like; I think it's a conversation that deserves to be had and wanted to make sure that all parties are involved.
