  • My favorite place in the entire world is Elbow Cay/Hope Town in the Abacos island of the Bahamas. Great prices for great little houses, very hospitable community with boat rentals around to be able to go around on your own. An absolute paradise.

  • On your list, I have been to Aruba, Turks & Caicos, and Costa Rica. They are all very different and all are worth going to. I think it might depend on what you want to do. For snorkeling or scuba I would go with T & C. Beautiful water but a very barren island outside of your resort. For night life and a great excursion, I would suggest Aruba and rent a jeep for exploring. If you like surfing and maybe zip line type excursions in the rainforest, try Costa Rica. You could take multiple trips there to different parts of the country and not see it all. One thing that was hard to get used to for me during the summer was that it got dark around 6PM while it was getting dark in SC closer to 9PM. Just do some online research and see what you are interested in most. All of those are good choices. I have been other places in the Caribbean as well but answered specific to your list. We went to the Virgin Islands last summer and it was great as well. Nassau has beautiful water and much to offer. Playa Del Carmen, Mexico was great and affordable but not sure I completely recommend Mexico these days. I liked a lot of those places better than Negril which was also nice though. Beautiful island, but while it is a happy place, the poverty is so sad. Good luck.
