absolutely. You know how pissed I was when one of my buddies (uga fan) had a wedding during their bye week.

I do enjoy brides that think their wedding will be bigger than college football. Wedding day arrives and half the folks aren't there.

  • My favorite cousin's son is a climpsun fan and planned a fall wedding. When I heard the date, I went to schedule, and sure enough they were off but we were playing. Turned out to be UAB or somebody OOC, so I drove my ass to Anderson for the wedding.

I always told my kids (a son and a daughter)... "If you want me to be at your wedding, you better not get married during football season." Last year, my 26 year old daughter was planning a May (this year) wedding when she found out she was pregnant with my first grandchild. When she told me the news, she said they were going to get married before the baby was due in March. "Daddy, I need you to look up and tell me when Carollina's open date is..." We had a wonderful Oct. 22nd wedding.

My niece planned a wedding during football season a couple of years ago in Atlanta. I told my wife that it was her second husband... I was NOT required to do more than one per person and I didn't go. My wife was mad. The two of them came back from the honeymoon, and he said he was going to pay the light bill, left, and never came back. HA HA... I got the last laugh.
