Please STOP selling tics to Clemson fans!.....

  • The tix I sold had lyme's disease. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Are you serious? Half the Gamecock Club sells "scalps" tickets on a regular basis. If you own the tickets, no one should be allowed to tell you who you can and can't sell them to. Get real!

I don't believe your statement. Actually the Gamecock Club does have the authority to revoke your ticket privileges if you abuse them by "scalping". You enter into an agreement with the GC Club when you pay your dues (to include the seat tax) for the "privilege" to buy tickets in support of the USC athletic programs. You have no right (moral or legal) to scalp those tickets when others (who would equally pay for the privilege) are willing and able to buy your tickets at face value on one of the several ticket redemption outlets. If you don't want to abide by the rules and support the university with integrity please go find another team to support your way. As an alumnus I will support my university by following the rules properly.

  • I have no idea how someone thinks they have the right to tell me to whom I can sell my tickets.

With the price of the seat licenses and the rising cost of tickets, if I want to recoup some money by selling my tickets, then I will to the highest bidder.

    End of story.

I'm willing to bet that most of the people bitching about this, don't actually buy season tickets or are a member of the Gamecock Club.

I'm kind of curious. What did they write? Was it just a random rant or did it actually have something to do with the topic at hand?

  • Most of the reponses in this thread are ridiculous, the athletic department sold a ton of seats to Auburn, Florida, and Clemson fans at face value, with no seat tax or Gamecock Club dues. No restrictions they could buy as many 3-game packages as they wanted. A lot of our fans want tickets, but don't want to pay the frieght. If they are your seats you can sell to whoever you want.

2 in section 5...about 30 rows up. Carolina fans always all over the stadium at clemson. Be no different saturday.

I sit on the 50 lower bowl in death valley every other year lol back against the boxes. About as good as you can get :)

I give the same tickets away for every other game. Don't ask how I have Clemson season tickets lol

I am a member of the GCC and people like you I just don't get. I have Never sold a ticket I couldn't use.I have eaten a bunch thru the years. The little bit of money that I could get from the sale would not be worth it to me. Scenario #1 I have an extra and sell to the guy hawking for tickets he then sell to am opposing fan. The fan a big ol Brad Scott look a like shows up and sits beside me taking up his seat and half of me cushioned seat. My friends all around me are looking at me and saying WTF ! On top of that we lose and he shows his rear end the whole game. Now was that little piece of money worth that ? I choose to not sell the ticket and put my jacket and other stuff in my extra seat.

Exactly!!! But that's your choice and I have done that as well. But guess what... It's his choice to sell them like he sees fit. You might not like it but I promise you you're never going to change it. The scenario you just painted, let me ask you a question or two. Would it have been any better if he sold the ticket at face or less? Would it have been any better but it was a "big ol Brad Scott" Gamecock fan who had a little too much to drink and shows his rear end?
To the people who are complaining about it in this thread ever tried to get tickets to a big away game...Clemson,Uga etc., and didn't have enough points, so you bought them from another venue and they were in the opposing fans section? I sure have. Don't get me wrong...I agree it sucks big time having an opposing fan right next to you, especially if they're rude and obnoxious. But it isn't going to change.
On scalping I have a question. Do you think it would be OK to sell your tickets to Gamecock fans only and make a modest $10 a ticket profit for your trouble?

Went to lunch today with a friend in the Lexington-Irmo area, and while there saw a Gamecock club member meet a Clemson couple and sell them FOUR tickets in the west upper, right in the middle of long-time gamecock ticket holders..

My friend then asked him why sell to Clemson people, right in the middle of gamecock fans...He was rude and said "highest offer"...

    This needs to stop.

I think you got it all wrong....
Sounds like to me, the Clemson fan seems to not have put a price ceiling on viewing his/their team play.
The real question is, how much would you pay for a USC/Clemson ticket in W-B to keep a Clemson fan outside?
